For AppHandlers

Put your coding and AI skills to work.

People describe apps and AppHandle builds them. When one needs more than a description, they hire a person. You set your rate, the amount is set aside before work starts, and you keep all of it.

  • The amount is set aside first

Agree the work and an estimate, and that amount is held from the owner's balance. You are not working against a promise.

  • You keep your whole rate

The owner pays our fee on top. Nothing is deducted from what you charge.

  • No chasing, no invoicing

The agreement, the minutes and the work behind them are recorded for you. Finish a task, send the bill, and it carries its evidence.

  • You pay for the AI you use

Agent usage comes from your balance while you work, so a wasteful run is your cost, not the owner's. Keep credit in your balance before you start.

What the work is

  • Someone described an app, and it needs more than the builder gave them: a page to change, data to move, a form to connect, an import to run, a bug that will not close.
  • You open that app and work on it directly — reading its code, running its functions, and changing what needs changing.
  • Nothing is copied out and nothing is rebuilt elsewhere. The owner watches it change while you work.

How you get paid

  1. You agree what has to be true when the job is done, and how many hours you expect it to take.

  2. The owner agrees, and that amount is held from their balance before you start.

  3. You work. The clock counts only the minutes you are actually working, in five-minute units.

  4. When a task is done you send a bill. The owner approves it, and the money is released to you.

How a job runs

  1. Find a request or a profile, and talk it through in the app.

  2. Agree what must be true when it is done, and how many hours you expect.

  3. The owner agrees, and the amount is set aside before you start.

  4. Work. The clock counts only the minutes you are actually working.

  5. Mark a task done. The owner approves the bill, and you are paid.

How to start

  1. Create an account and choose to work as an AppHandler.

  2. Set up your profile: the sectors you work in, your rate, your languages and your time zone.

  3. Add credit to your balance, because you pay for the AI you use. Then you are listed in the directory.

Questions

When do I get paid?

When the owner approves a bill. The amount was already set aside before you started, so approval is the only step left.

How does the clock work?

It runs only while work is happening, in five-minute units, and it stops when you stop. A session that is open with nobody working costs nothing.

Do I need my own model key?

No. You can use the hosted model and pay for what you use from your balance, or connect your own provider key.

What do I need before I start?

An account, a profile with the work you take on and your hourly rate, and credit in your balance for the AI you use.

What if the owner never approves?

After seven days it comes to us rather than being approved silently. We decide from the agreed requirements, the estimate and the recorded work.

Can I see the owner's keys?

No. You can write code that refers to a credential by name, but the value is never injected into a run you are driving. Only the owner can add or replace one.
