Get help and report a problem
How to reach a person when the guides and the desk have not solved it.
If you are stuck, you can reach a person. Help is deliberately lightweight: there is no phone line and no ticket queue to work through, and messages are read and answered personally.
Report a problem from the desk
The desk has its own support panel, and it is the best way to reach us: the desk knows which account the report comes from and where to send the reply.
- Open the account menu at the top right of the session and select Support.
- Under What is this about? choose Technical issues, Account or sign-in, Billing or credits, Payout or withdrawal, or Other. Choose Payout or withdrawal to ask for money out of your balance; support confirms the amount, the method and any fee or minimum before sending.
- For a technical problem, Which app? appears, already set to the app you are working in. Change it, or choose Not about a specific app if it concerns no single app.
- In What happened? describe what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- Select Send report.
The panel tells you the address the reply will go to. When you send it, the panel confirms that your report is with us and gives you a reference number — keep it if you need to follow up. A person reads it and replies by email to the address on your account, and replying to that email continues the same conversation. Your report is also kept, so a missed email cannot lose it.
Message us from the website
The Contact page at apphandle.com/contact asks for Name, Email, and Message, then a verification check, then Send message. You do not need an account for this form. It sends us an email and nothing is kept with a reference number, so if you want a number to follow up on, use the support panel in the desk instead.
The Contact link sits in the footer of the website. The desk has no footer, so from inside the desk use the account menu, or open apphandle.com/contact directly.
Write by email
You can also write to hi@apphandle.com. Email, the message form, and the desk's support panel all reach the same inbox, so use whichever you prefer.
What to include
- The app's name, and its address if the problem is with the published app.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened.
- The exact wording of any message on the screen.
- Whether it started after a particular change.
What to expect
Messages are read and answered personally. The Contact page states the current expectation for a reply — Within a day, usually much faster — and that is the only timing commitment, so there is no need to send the same message twice.
Get Help is not support
The Get Help button in the session top bar does not report a problem. It is how you find an AppHandler — someone you can hire to work on your app — or open your conversation with one you have already hired. Hire an AppHandler covers it.
Try these first
Most questions are answered by the guides. If a build is not working, start with When a build does not work. If a published app will not open, start with A published app will not open. If the desk will not connect, start with When the desk will not connect. The desk is self-service by design, and the Contact page has a card linking back to it when you would rather solve something yourself.
