Add pages and navigation

Give your app more than one screen, move between them, and choose which page opens first.

Building Updated 2026-10-17

Small apps often fit on one screen, and that is a fine place to start. When the app needs to hold more — a list, a form, a page explaining how it works — you add pages and a way to move between them. Pages are created and changed in the same way as everything else: by describing them.

Ask for a new page

Name the page and say what belongs on it:

Add a Prices page with three plans, each showing what it includes and a monthly price.

Keep the purpose in the request, not only the name. "Add an About page" leaves the agent guessing at the content; "an About page with our story, the address, and a contact email" does not.

If the page is similar to one you already have, you can say so: "add a Contact page laid out like the About page".

The page menu in Preview

Under the preview there is a menu titled Routes, showing the address of the page you are looking at. Open it to see every page in the app and jump to any of them. Each entry also names the file the page comes from.

The footer of the same menu adds an empty page. Type the page's address — lowercase letters, numbers, dashes and slashes, such as about or blog/post — then select the + button, which is titled Create page. An address that is already taken is refused: "Page /about already exists". The new page contains only its title until you ask the agent to fill it in.

Some entries cannot be opened from the menu. A page whose address needs a value, such as a single product's page, is shown greyed out with "needs a value".

A page is not useful until people can reach it. When you ask for a new page that belongs in the app's menu, say where it should appear:

Add a Prices page and put it in the top menu between Features and Contact.

If a screen has no way to move on from it, ask for one:

Add a menu at the top with Home, Prices, and Contact, and show it on every page.

Once a menu exists, you can also restyle it like any other element — select Edit mode under the preview and click it, then use the Element mode on the left.

Linking between pages

You can point anything that is clickable at another page, in text or on a button:

Make the words "see our prices" on the home page open the Prices page.

Add a button on the Prices page that goes to Contact.

Say whether the link should open in the same window or a new one if that matters to you. Ordinary links within your app are best kept in the same window.

Choosing the page that opens first

The page at the app's own address is the one visitors see first. To change it, describe the home page you want:

Make the bookings page the first thing people see, and keep the current home page available as Home.

The agent moves the pages and updates the links that pointed at the old home page, so nothing is left pointing at a page that no longer exists.

Check each page in Preview before you publish, then follow Preview and publish to put the new pages live.
