Plans and limits

What is included every month, what credits pay for, and the real limits behind apps, storage, email, and metered use.

Account Updated 2026-10-29

AppHandle does not have plans you choose between, and no plan name is shown anywhere in the product. There is an included allowance that renews every month, and there is your prepaid balance for what goes past it. Neither is a subscription: nothing renews on a schedule except the allowance itself, which is free.

Two things are free every month: the apps themselves, and a fixed amount of usage to run them. Credits pay for the hosted model, AI images, and any usage beyond that amount.

The included allowance

Every account gets $12 of usage every calendar month, free, whether or not it has ever added credits — $10 for app usage, plus hosted AI usage to build with. In detail:

  • Unlimited apps. Apps are not a metered resource, and creating one is always allowed.
  • Included usage for what your apps run — handle functions, emails, outside web requests, integration calls, AI on your own model key, and custom tools the agent uses. It renews every month.
  • Hosted AI usage every month, so you can build an app before you connect a key.
  • 200 emails a month, counted in sends rather than credits.
  • 2 GB of storage, shared across all your apps.
  • Building with your own model key. AppHandle charges nothing for model use on your key, at any volume, for ever.

One exception: an account that is an AppHandler has no allowance at all. Hired work is paid from the AppHandler's own balance, which is what keeps it their cost rather than the platform's. See Working as an AppHandler.

There is no card required, no trial period, and nothing to cancel. When the allowance is spent, the account moves to its balance rather than stopping; if there is no balance either, metered calls are refused until the month turns over or you add credits.

What credits are for

Credits are prepaid money, added in whole dollars, minimum $5. They pay for the hosted model and AI images, and for any usage beyond the monthly amount:

  • The hosted Coder-MAX model. Billed per token for what the agent uses, from your balance once the included hosted usage is spent.
  • AI images. Priced per model; the picker shows the price of the choice before you confirm it.
  • Anything past the allowance — extra functions, emails, outside web requests, integration calls, or own-key AI requests beyond the included amount, and storage over 2 GB.

Using your own model key is never billed by AppHandle.

What is metered, and what is not

Metered, drawn from the allowance first and the balance after:

  • Handle functions — per second of running time, rounded up, with a minimum of one second.
  • AI in your app — per request on your own model key; on the hosted model the tokens come from the balance instead.
  • AI images — from $0.01 per image, priced by model. Always from the balance: images are outside the allowance.
  • Integration calls — per call.
  • Outside web requests — per request.
  • Extra tools the agent uses while it builds — per call.
  • Email your app sends — counted first, then billed per send.
  • Storage — per GB per month beyond the 2 GB allowance.

Not metered at all: the number of apps, the number of records your app stores, uploads and downloads of your own assets, and serving the published app.

Limits you can meet

  • Apps: no limit. Creating apps is rate-limited to 5 a day per account, so a script cannot flood the platform; that is an abuse guard, not a price.
  • Email: an app can send at most 200 emails in a day. This is an anti-abuse cap, not a billing one.
  • Calls an app makes for its users: each app has a daily ceiling on how many times it can run a function (100,000), how long those functions may run in total (10,000 seconds), make an outside web request (100,000), or call a connected account (100,000). These reset each day and are anti-abuse caps; every call is also metered.
  • How fast calls can arrive: 60 requests a minute from one caller to one app. It applies per app, so a busy app never spends another app's allowance.
  • In-app payments: each charge is between $0.50 and $500, and an app must be approved before it can charge.
  • Analytics: up to 200 different event names per app; events are kept for 90 days.
  • Addresses: one short name and one custom domain per app.

If your app gets very busy

A public app with a lot of daily use can be moved to a server of its own for a flat monthly price, instead of being billed by usage. That is arranged by hand rather than bought: there is no self-service purchase, and you ask us about it. The pricing page describes the arrangement, and Get help is how you reach us.

Where to check current prices

Prices are set by AppHandle and can change. The pricing page is the current list, and the Credits dialog shows what you pay for a top-up before you confirm it, including any fee for the payment method you choose.

Where to go next

Credits and top-ups explains adding credits and what happens when the allowance and the balance are both spent.
